The full recording of Barbara's farewell band tour from earlier this year is now available as a two-disc CD set.
February 2024 saw Barbara performing her farewell full band tour to sell-out audiences across the country. Forty-seven years since her first headlining tour in 1977, together with her band - Troy Donockley, Nick Holland, Terl Bryant and Phil Barker - Barbara performed an eclectic repertoire encompassing some of her best-selling hits, personal favourites from throughout her extraordinary career and tracks from her lastest studio album, 'My Own Adventure'.
Featuring songs by Gerry Rafferty, Willy Russell, Lennon and McCartney, Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice, Bob Dylan, Mike Batt and Barbara herself, the show was captured for posterity and is now available as a two-disc CD, '47 Years Later: Live in Concert,' exclusively from Barbara's website (this release will not be available from Amazon or other online retailers).
Barbara says of the release:
I hadn't originally envisaged recording the tour, but as it marked the end of almost fifty-years touring with my band, it seemed the right thing to capture the show for posterity. The audiences over those ten nights were so wonderful to us and I have great pleasure in sharing those special moments again with those of you who were kind enough to come out to support us and with some of you who weren't able to attend.
