'Gold,' is the latest classic Barbara album to be released as a 'Special Edition' CD.
Following on from the success of the 'Special Edition' CD releases of Barbara's albums 'Heartbeats,' 'All For A Song' and 'Coming Alive Again,' her 1985 platinum-selling set, 'Gold,' is now available as a two-disc remastered release.
The first 200 copies only include an art card, autographed by Barbara.
'Gold' marked Barbara's first studio album following her break from Epic Records and included the worldwide hit single, 'I Know Him So Well' with Elaine Paige.
Limited to only 400 copies and available exclusively from Barbara's website, the Special Edition of the album features the original album as well as thirteen rare tracks from that era of her career, including 'The Chain', 'Skye Boat Song', 'Sit Down You're Rocking The Boat' and live versions of 'I Know Him So Well' and 'Someone Else's Story' (also from the musical 'Chess').
A sixteen page booklet details the recording of the album with contributions from Barbara, producer Pip Williams, band members Bob Jenkins and Richard Brunton and co-writer Charlie Dore.
